Hello All,
I have marriage cert details  (May 1898) of my great grandad, John Francis MADDEN : his father, Owen MADDEN was a 'Constable (where?)'.  Can anyone tell me where I can get more info on him at this address. e.g brothers, sisters, mother, etc.

Owen's occupation is given as 'constable' on his son's wedding cert.  in 1898, would you have any suggestions to what the reason for this would be?

Have you tried www.belfastfamilyhistory.com
There are lots of Maddens listed around the Falls Road area.
My Grandmother's maiden name was Madden and the family came from that area of Belfast.
Hope this is of some use,

Hi Briege, I don't think I've visited that site,so I'm off to have a look now.
Many thanks for your help, I'll let you know of any progress.  in the meantime, if you come across any info on John Francis MADDEN dob8/5/1881; Helena MADDEN b1876 or Kathleenb1890, I'd be glad to receive it.
