Title: 39 Grove Avenue, Fulham 1902
Post by: Godrevy16 on Sunday 15 January 17 17:24 GMT (UK)
Hello I'm trying to find out if this was a residential address or perhaps part of Fulham workhouse ?
I have a Birth Cert with this address on but mother doesn't name a father so a bit difficult to search the Electoral Roll for 1902/3.
Any help greatly appreciated.

The 1901 reference is RG13 /60 folio 37 page 23 and the following page.  There are 3 separate families living there
Samuel & Sarah Bates with their family + visitor
Robert & Rebecca Hart and child + boarder
Julia Perry & children

You do not need a name to search electoral registers on Ancestry   ;)
In the search put
Lived In - Fulham Middlesex
Keyword - Grove Avenue
It will then produce lots of names beginning at the start of the alphabet -scroll down until you see one with the year you are interested in and select -that will take you straight to Grove Avenue for that year  ;D

Samuel Charles Bates is still showing in 1904

Thank you Rosie I've had a look but no clues to people living there so on the back burner again.
