My father Gilbert Howard Parker born 1919 was in Hong Kong in the 2nd world war and he came back but unfortunately his best friend Kenneth was killed over there and is buried in a cemetery there. Trying to trace him but all I have to go by is that I think is surname was Stokes and he may have been born in 1915 in Bristol England any information welcome thanks

There is a Kenneth H S Stokes born 1920 mmn Kingman in Bristol reg district.
Seeing age given as 21 I wonder if that could be him? Unless age estimated, I think he was Kenneth Herbert Seymour.

The only one I can find, there may be more ,is
Gilbert Parker 1541337 R A attested 1938
It sadly looks likely that there may not be a grave if he was "presumed killed in action", he appears on the memorial on CWGC site as suggested in a previous post.

Added..Gilbert appears to be with his family in 1939 in Bristol sopossibly not the Gilbert above

If this is Kenneth then there is no grave.

Thanks I think this is the Ken Stokes I am looking for. If there is no grave would his name just be on a memorial wall in Sai Wan Hong Kong?
