Title: NAAIRS: Accessing estate file

Hi all

I wish to access my great grandfather's estate file on NAAIRS in order to obtain his death certificate.

Please could someone give me a heads up on how I might go about this?

You can access this through  Family Search. Open "search, catalogue", and search for Natal South Africa (NAB is Natal). On the page that loads, choose "Probate records, Deceased estates". Choose the record range for 1943 that contains record 36608, and open it. Estimate which page number you expect this record to be on, and enter that image number. You will find the cover page of each probate, and some other pages, have the reference number marked on them. You will have to hunt around to find the exact record you want.
