According to the 1871 Census there was a Richard Lloyd , age 27, b. Bredon, working as a Railway Signalman, living at #2 Whitcombe St., Aberdare along with his wife, Leah, and children Rose Ann, Richard, and Edith.
I believe Richard to still be in residence at that location in 1891.
According to the 1881 Census there was a Daniel Lloyd , age 41, b. Bredon, working as a Railroad Engine Driver, living at #10 Whitcombe St., Aberdare , along with his wife Emma (possibly maiden name Evans), and children Richard, Maria, George, David, Rose Ann and Daniel.
I would like to find out the following:
Is this Daniel Lloyd listed in the 1841 Census, 1951 Census, 1861 Census or 1871 Census?
Is this Richard Lloyd listed in the 1851 Census, 1861 Census, or 1891 Census?
I am trying to determine if Daniel and Richard are related, perhaps brothers or cousins. There are many similarities between the two men:
Have the same last name
Residing on the same street
Both employed by the railroad
Both have children named Rose and Richard
Mostly I am desperate to make some connections for Daniel to somebody!!
Basically I am trying to find as much information about my GGGrandfather Daniel Lloyd as possible. I have his location in the 1881, 1891 and 1901 Census, but want to work backward to learn more about his parents, siblings.
Also there is a widow in the Welsh 1891 Census
Lloyd, Mary 75 Bredon, Worcestershire Head Aberdare Glamorgan. Perhaps she would be Daniel's Mum. I would love to know about any early Census she appears in with a listing of her husband and children in case she is my GGGGrandmum.
I know this is a lot to ask for, but as always any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Dear Altaira
I do not have access to the Glamorganshire 1871 Census however, here is Richard in the Glamorganshire 1861 Census:
Glamorgan Family History Society 1861 Census CD

Hello again.
Had another look for the Widow Mary Lloyd born around c. 1816 there were 3 matches but none which fit the details given.
Also no Daniel's at all listed in 1861. The only Lloyd's born in Worc within that census are the ones previously given to you, and one other a Thomas Lloyd (but not born in Bredon), here they are again:
Glamorgan Family History Society 1861 Census CD
4066 099 086 GLOUCESTER ST. LLOYD MARY WI M 42 WOR BREDON
4066 099 086 GLOUCESTER ST. LLOYD RICHARD SO U 17 WOR BREDON

4080 023 076 PARSON'S BRIDGE LLOYD THOMAS BO M 46 WOR EVESHAM
There may be a possible connection between these two men, but be careful not to connect them just yet, or you may find yourself climbing someone elses tree :-\ Take note of all the details on them all until something connects them absolutely.
Kindest Regards Jen :D

It's been a while but I'm still looking for information regarding my Lloyds. I am interested in tracing an Amos Lloyd, b 1781 in Wales, -m- Hannah Holden Dec. 1837, and d. 1868. Hannah was born 1778 - 1781.
I believe them to be the parents of Richard Lloyd b. 1815 who -m- Mary Trapp in 1836 and d 1886. They were the parents of Daniel Lloyd b 1839 who -m- Emma Evans 1860 Cardiff and died 1917 Bristol. They were the parents of David Lloyd b 1872 who -m- Louisa Currier and d 1933. These Lloyds come from the Glamorgan area although David married Louisa in England and settled there.
Any information about Amos and Hannah, especially confirmation they are Richard's parents, and info about their ancestors would be greatly appreciated.
Also does anyone know what railway would be the most likely to have employed them?

according to his census entries in 1851 & 1861, Amos was born in Warwickshire
1851 Bredon, Worcs HO107/1974 folio 256 pg 18
Amos Lloyd head mar 67 coal dealer & ag lab b. Warwickshire, Fore's Hill
Sarah wife 50 b. Worcs, Pershore
Sarah Ann dau 12 works at silk mill b. Worcs, Bredon
John A son 10 attends a sunday school b. Bredon
Penelope dau 7 scholar b. Bredon
I would imagine that Fore's Hill should be Foleshill. There are baptisms for Lloyds in the extracted IGI batch C042081 for the parish. The earliest Lloyd is a John bp 8/5/1791 in St Lawrence son of John & Penelope. But using the parents and no surname in the search finds more children to the couple, 2 transcribed as Floyd
John bp 15/2/1789 bd 3/7/1790
Amos bp 25/3/1788
as Lloyd
Wiilaim bp 10/7/1813 aged 13
Thomas bp 10/7/1813
John Lloyd married Penelope Daulton 31/8/1786 Foleshill IGI batch M042081
Richard was baptised 27/12/1815 son of Amos & Hannah Bredon IGI extracted batch C021761
The marriage cert for Amos would confirm her father's name
Amos Lloyd dec qtr 1837 Worcester vol 18 pg 626 with more tahn one Sarah on the same page
