Could someone please help me find the parents of Gertrude Alice Callister born 1890 West Derby registration. Many thanks

You can find this info following the instructions below

Use the reference for her birth on freebmd and search for her mothers maiden name using the new GRO maiden name facility (free)

www.freebmd.org.uk

https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/indexes_search.asp

Use her mothers maiden name to search freebmd for a Callister marriage to that surname - marriage 1884 appears to fit

West Derby is in Liverpool - Lancashire - not Derbyshire - so I will ask the moderator to move this post to the Lancashire board

Do you have a copy of Gertrude's 1919 marriage cert to Albert Kershaw?

Father is shown as Edward Rawson Callister occ horse keeper

Many thanks, but I think I am on the wrong track. This Gertrude listed her father "William - stonemason" and married Jan 1919.

No - I meant Lancashire BMD - www.lancashirebmd.org.uk which shows the venue for the marriage.

If a church is known - the marriage can usually be looked up in the parish records which saves buying a cert
