Title: Nursing Qualification Acronyms
Post by: jcsturgis on Monday 02 January 17 18:50 GMT (UK)
My great aunt has the following acronym M.R.B.N.A in the nursing register - does anyone know what it stands for.  None of the current list of acronyms seem to contain it, so I guess it must be a historic classification.

Many thanks in anticipation.

It looks quite likely, doesn't it - thanks for the tip, I'll try and pursue this angle.

Thanks very much  :D

Attached is the entry for my great grand-aunt PRISCILLA STURGIS ...

Does anyone know anything about either the Nurses Institute, Leicester or the Nurses Co-operative Association, Lincoln.

Any suggestions would be very welcome.

The writing on the entry is quite small, but it looks as though she was nursing in the 1880s / 1890s. She may have been a volunteer nurse in WWI with the Red Cross. Although I can't find her on the database, if she married and changed her name, you may be able to locate her on the website link below.
