Hi, looking for someone who knew of or can shed light on the couple above.
Sensitive information.. My mother was born out of wedlock in 1940 to a Thomas Fitzsimmons (coal miner) and Ada Watson (domestic service). As Ada too was born out of wedlock she moved with my mum and I have no contact of any family members that are able to tell me anything about Thomas or indeed Ada's family. Ada's mother was Margaret Watson, who went on to marry a Peter Hewitson in 1913, Kirkoswald.
There are LOTS of Thomas Fitzsimmons in Ayr, around Coylton where mum was born.
I'm wondering if anyone has Hewitson/Watson/Fitzsimmons on their tree or even any of the names above that could shed some light on this for me. Any information gratefully received.
