Grateful if someone could do an electoral roll lookup for a Miss L. M. NAPIER during the period 1920-1930 possible in either Christchurch or Wellington.
I have found a Miss L M NAPIER in 1920 in shipping records travelling on the "Athenic" from Plymouth to Auckland departing on 15 January 1920, class - third. Her occupation was "Laundry Forewoman" and was single and aged 32 years (born c 1888).
I also found her again in 1928 travelling on the "Otranto" from London to Sydney on 6 January 1928, final destination New Zealand. Her age is given as 40 years, single and occupation as "Laundry Proptress".
The NZ BMD index has a Lottie Madeline NAPIER registered in 1886/16752. A Lottie Magdalene NAPIER died in Wellington in 1955 age 69 years and is buried in Karori cemetery. She was born in Christchurch and her parents were William Henry NAPIER and Eliza COOK. Her father was a Council Gauger.
Is the Miss L M NAPIER the same as Lottie Madeline NAPIER? An electoral rolls check of the 1920-1930 period would be appreciated.
Many thanks

Only 1928 has been indexed. I found
Lillie May a spinster in Whangarei,
Lillie a married woman in Devonport and
Louisa a married woman in Dunedin.
No Lottie Madeline

Many thanks Alan and Minniehaha.
Looks likely that the Lillie May NAPIER spinster in Whangarei is the correct one.
Will keep looking for my "Lottie".
Many thanks

It does seem as if the daughters, Lottie and Patience, did not register to vote ?
There is a death notice for Patience NAPIER at PapersPast -- "Evening Post" (Wellington) - 20 January 1926.

Also a Probate record for >
Mary NAPIER, Widow, -- year 1949

Incidentally , the Miss L.M. NAPIER whose travel records you mentioned, was indeed Lillie May NAPIER, bc. 1888 (daughter of Henry James and Mary NAPIER of Edmonton, London). She was with her parents and some siblings in the 1911 UK census. She seems also to be the Lillie May who married Mr STAMMERS (on earlier electoral rolls at Marsden) ... and later on Auckland e/rolls where her names was listed as "Lily May".

Thanks Lucy for this additional information.
