Wow
You in Tottenhams terms have scored. Yes. Thankyou so much.
I first tried ancestry 20 years back , then 10 years ago, really before the forums and web really got into gear. Now finally I am getting somewhere. How did you find this so quickly?

I seached for a marriage with his wife's name which is fairly unusual :)
Possible family for Charles 1891 living in Edmonton
Joshua Edward Whitehouse 37 House Agent b Fetter Lane City, London,
Laura Whitehouse 35 b Barbican
Amelia Whitehouse 18
Charles Whitehouse 9 Lambert, London (may be Lambeth)

Due to copywrite we can't post details of Charles Whitehouse, wife and family in 1911 but a free search on Family Search lists Charles Edward Whitehouse as age 29 born Lambeth London and living in Tottenham
Have to go out now and check back later

Edit on General Register Office Index birth of CHARLES EDWARD WHITEHOUSE with mother's maiden name ROGERS in Sept Qtr 1881 LAMBETH Vol 01D Page 370

Possibly parents marriage 16 March 1879 St Mary's Lambeth
Joshua Whitehouse 25 printer Father Joshua Whitehouse deceased optician
Louisa Collins 22 Father Charles Collins salesman.
However the new gro index has for the mothers maiden name for the birth of Charles Edward Whitehouse, the surname Rogers. I would not, however, rule out the above marriage on this alone. For me it is these little conundrums which makes genealogy so interesting! The Collins/Rogers puzzle may be able to be explained by looking at Louisa's back story. Finding a birth record for the daughter Amelia may help as, if the marriage above is correct, her age shows she was born before the marriage took place.
In the 1881 census it looks like father Joshua is in Lambeth recorded as J Whitehouse, a printer.

In searching for a birth for Amelia using the surnames Whitehouse, Collins and Rogers the one that stands out is
Amelia Louisa Rogers Jan - Mar 1873 Bethnal Green (no mother's maiden name recorded in the gro index).
There is also this marriage St John the Baptist Islington
James Middleton 24 portmanteau maker
Amelia Louisa Rogers 24 (father given as William Charles Rogers - labourer)
I note that a James Middelton was one of the witnesses of the marriage of Charles Edward Whitehouse. (Also that Amelia's occupation in the 1891 census is given as bag liner).

This might well be Joshua, Louisa and Amelia in 1881 living at 38, Newport Street, Lambeth, although they are just listed by initials and the daughters initial is just a squiggle on the census image
J Whitehouse Head 28 Printer St Clement, Middlesex,
L Whitehouse Wife 24 Whitehapel
M Whitehouse Daughter 7 Whitechapel
The census ties in to the marriage in 1879 Lambeth that Millmoor found
