Title: trying to find burial place - Worcester or Strop
Post by: jmd234 on Monday 14 November 16 06:09 GMT (UK)
Hi, my great uncle George Davis (or Davies) died 24 March 1972 • Ironbridge, Salop, England.  He was born 11 March 1886 in Smite Hill, Claines Worcester.  He joined the Worstershire regiment in October 1907 and was discharged 25 December 1917.  On his brother's attestation papers from Austrailia George's contact is C/O Mr. Hunt Northwick Farm, Claines Worcester.  I also know that he lived at 110 Northwick Road, I think his mom lived there too.
Regardless he died at the Beeches Hospital in Ironwood Salop. I have his death cert which does not say where he was buried.
Any ideas where to look?  I've checked Ancestry, Find my past, Deceased Online.  I'm pretty sure he was poor when he died, but they must have had to put him someplace.
Any ideas are appreciated.  Janice in Canada

The most likely place seems to be.

Castle Green Cemetary,  Lincoln Hill Ironbridge.

Records are held by the Borough of Telford and Wrekin.  (Telford.gov.uk)

It is an appalling website ;D
