Harry Smith aged 67  buried 11.10.1947 Holy Trinity Wavertree but he lived at 94 Crawford Avenue and the RD was Liverpool South

Have you looked here to see if either of the 2 you listed left wills etc which may help to determine if either is your Harry

A lot of the Liverpool area burial records are not online at the moment. Hopefully coverage will improve with Family Search uploading images for the area's cemeteries. Most of Wirral's are now online, Bootle Cemetery is online, cemeteries in the Southport area are online and St James' Cemetery in Liverpool is now online. As you know there is good online coverage of some Liverpool cemeteries such as Toxteth Park and Ancestry has good coverage of the C of E and RC cemeteries. Unfortunately access to Allerton, Anfield, Everton, Kirkdale and West Derby usually involves a visit to the archives or a council cemeteries search.

Thank you for replies. I have been informed that Harry Smith was living at Back Salisbury Street Liverpool.( before 1950 ) He was married at St Simons Church Liverpool ? C/E so may have been buried in Anfield Cemetery but only possibility some couples married in C/E churches because it was cheaper than marrying in catholic churches.

Hi don`t think Harry would have left a will he came from a poor family and would not have any assets. Everton Cemetery is in Long Lane Liverpool. I think a cemetery closer to home would have been where he was buried ? Anfield Cemetery. Harry worked for The Mersey Docks and Harbour Board a Hydraulic Crane Driver. Living at 47 Back Salisbury Street Liverpool 3. I wonder if I contacted Anfield Cemetery with these details and record of possible death record they could find burial record.

It might depend on the dates. Always best to ask them:-

Hello Victoria,
I sent a private message to you but seems you did not receive it.

I run Toxteth Park Cemetery web site, and I have a few entries for Anfield cemetery.
I have an entry for a HENRY SMITH, 65 years, living at 47 Back Salisbury Street, buried on 24th December 1945.
Although his name is Henry not Harry, could this be your man.??

I will send it to you if you want, but will need your email address.

Regards,

Billo
