In the Sept quarter 1891 in the Prescot reg area, a Michael Gilligan died. He was 63 years old. Did he make to the 1891 census please? Is there any sign of this Michael in the 1881 census. The wife of the Michael I am looking for was buried back in Ireland in 1884 so he should not be in England in 1881.

At 13 Hill Street, Prescot in 1911 were my great uncle, James Nulty (34), and his wife Bridget (30), nee Gilligan
Also there were boarders James and Bridget Gilligan, both aged 57, these being the parents of Bridget Nulty. This Gilligan family had been at 16 Hill Street in 1901
James Nulty was killed on the Somme in 1916 and this link will take you to his page on my website
