Well from 1841 census to 1851 there is a remarriage....maybe a marriage before Elizabeth.....I think it says 30 which seems a little old for the older children

hi thank you very much for looking this up for me.im still confusd though.(nothing unusual about that lol)
elizabeth is only 30?.
this would mean she couldent be my janes(born 1827)mother either as she would of been to young.
i know my janes father was a sawyer.
as i have her marriage lines to frederick harris.
and its there .
could this age for elizabeth be a misprint,
sometimes i wish i had more experence.lol
thank you again though this is brilliant.

Hi Dwalin,
I am not 100% sure of Elizabeth's age. I think it says 30. Now ages were rounded down in 1841 census, if the enumerator did as instructed, which means any adult over 15 years may be up to 4 years older than what is listed A 15 year old may be between 15 and 19 and a 30 year old may be between 30 and 34. A slim chance it says 50 but I think it is 30. The other possibility is that there were 3 wives. We have a 5 year gap between Joseph and John so perhaps the older children had a defferent mother....Hope you work it out....Kris :)

probably somebody else needs to look at Robert's birthplace.
Sadly Robert died in 1873 so no more wives!!!
The only Robert Full on the IGI is in Brixham. Right age and he does marry an Elizabeth.
ROBERT FULL
Spouse: BETTY DUGDALL
Marriage: 07 JAN 1823 Brixham, Devon
ROBERT FULL
Christening: 18 FEB 1798 Brixham, Devon
Father: ROBERT FULL Mother: SUSANNA
plus baptism of one child
ROBERT FULL
Christening: 13 NOV 1823 Brixham, Devon

Nothing further on IGI or for other children, but at least Robert married again after civil registration, so you can check out his father's name and occupation.

I've had a squint at that 1841 entry - I would say it is definitely 30 comparing the way he does 3's and 5's elsewhere on the page.

I don't really know. I have similar problems with one of mine, have baptisms for his siblings but not him (mind you he doesn't make it easy as he gives a different village of birth on all censuses form 1851- 1901 and in 1841 isn't living in any of them ::) :D) Anyway back to your difficulty maybe Robert senior was so busy remarrying he never got round to christening her :D
Jan ;)

;D :o
lol you might be right
he was very busy chap
maybe i will find she
had a different mam altoghether.
thanks for the help.
hopefully i will be able to help you
all as well at sometime

;D :o
maybe i will find she
had a different mam altoghether.
I reckon he had more than enough time between his marriage to Betty Dugdall and Jane's birth in 1827 to fit in yet another wife- afterall he appears to have different one on each census :o
Happy hunting
Jan ;)

If you think the Elizabeth Full death in 1841 is a good possibility you could take the risk and order the death certificate, which would give you her actual age on death, if it is the correct certificate, and enable you to see whether the census age is different or the same. If she is older that would make the Betty Dugdall 1823 marriage, much more a possibility for Robert's first marriage.
You can see how good FreeBMD's coverage of the period is for death registration by looking at their coverage charts
