Hello again,
I am after the help of you lovely people again. My 3 x great aunt Susannah (sometimes without the "h" and sometimes just Susan....) was born in 1823 in Macclesfield to John Pownall and Jane Massey. On 1851 census she is listed as having two sons - John Worsley born 1844/5 and Thomas born 1845/6. I have found birth and baptism records for John Worsley but not for Thomas, I have found a baptism record for Jan 1845/6 for a Timothy Worsley Pownall with mother Susannah but no mention of him after this. It appears from census and other records that Susannah had three children out of wedlock?? Any help anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Thomas WORSLEY registered in Macclesfield Q1 1845 v19 p114 ?

John Worsley POWNALL reg in Macclesfield Q4 of 1845 v19 p117.
Assuming Thomas was born at the end of 1844 or very early in 1845 there would be just about time for her to give birth again that year.
You would need to get the certificates to see how she was giving her name at the time.

On the '51 Census John is aged 7 and Thomas 5.
There's a Macclesfield registration for the 1st Qtr of 1844 - which would fit the 28 Jan baptism - for a John Pownall, but no middle name/initial given name to fit the initial "W" on the '51 Census..
