Hello, I am looking for information with regard to Martin Rost whom I believe worked for Barron Oppenheimer at his horse stables in Hoppengarten.  He could have been sharing an apartment with John J. Hyland.

Can you give us a time frame please ? and which Baron Oppenheimer ? Max / Freidrich or Simon

I sincerely apologize for leaving out the dates.  He died 9 Sep 1913 in Hoppengarten.  He was the trainer for August Belmont on Long Island in 1896 so I think he worked for Oppenheimer from 1904 to 1913.  Could be as early as 1902 or could be a bit later than 1904.  As for which Baron, whomever was Baron from 1900-1913 and loved horses and racing would be his boss.  There can only be one baron for a family, correct? Eldest son inherits the rank when the father dies?

it has to be Max 1880 -1946 as Carl  b 1900 died 1978 and Simon died 1880 .( on Wiki )
ok - I will see if we can find any details .
