Hi,
I am trying to obtain the service records of my great grandfather, George Swanson, who was in the Royal Navy during the 1870's and at the time of the 1871 census he was serving on HMS Wolverine. He immigrated to Australia about 1881. I understand that these records are not available online but can be viewed at the National Archives. My difficulty is that I live in Melbourne Australia. I would dearly love to get a copy of my great grandfather's service records. Is there anyone that can help? Thanks

Hi Max!
You might be interested in this site - a few pictures of HMS Wolverine - maybe they are a little later than when your greatgrandfather served but interesting none the less!!
