Hello everyone. Please can anyone tell me where to find old photos of Great Holme St and Buckingham St. ?                              kind regards                                                  Sue

Is there a local history group as these are often a source of great historical photos of streets and buildings.

If you Google "Old Leicester Photos", there are a good number interesting links!

I googled Buckingham St and see there was a thread on Rootschat some while ago asking for old photos of that street. If you do a search you should be able to read the replies and look at the photos people came up with.

 Thankyou all for your kindness, much appreciated. I am thoroughly enjoying the old photos although I haven't found the ones I was looking for. I will write to a couple of offices, meanwhile , I'll be still be enjoying the photos you found for me. Kindest regards and thankyou all.  Sue

Hi Sue,

Leicester University Archive have a very good collection of such photos available on line. Have certainly found some photos of Great Holme Street there.
