Hello,
This is a hoping against hope request 8)
Isaac WARBURTON was born in Manchester 1828/1829, father Isaac, mother not known. He arrived at Williamstown, aboard the Marion, on 25/01/1848 as an EXILE, having been sentenced to 7 years transportation on 05/09/1844. PROV have no record of him re-offending and TROVE no newspaper reports. I wonder if someone could kindly research the BDM indexes just in case ??? ???
For the moment and thank you,

Hi,
Old NSW Maps for the Parish of BUMBALLA, County of CAMDEN still show land leased or owned by Isaac Warburton.
Go into the "Historical Lands Record Viewer" and go from there. Search under BUMBALLA and cancelled parish maps will come up, I selected the last one on page 2.

Just wondering if this is the same chap if the 1878 ERs seem to show quite few of the same surname. Obviously they could be his sons rather than his brothers which is what I thought at first.
Sorry - brain not engaged properly this afternoon!

Good Morning Everyone,
Thank you for the research........I really am grateful because of the possibilities.
I had previously noted via TROVE the references to Berrima but wondered about the distance from Melbourne (in those days ::)), although keeping it as an option. The marriage to Jane CLOUT is quite interesting as it dovetails with the "sawyer/Berrima" details How do I find further details other than raising a mortgage for a Certificate!?
Lastly, the death in 1901 I tend to reject, purely on age grounds.....he was 58 making 1843 his birth date, that is, 15 years later than the quoted birth in the caption. I accept ages in those days were sometimes guesswork.
The marriage to Jane CLOUT is the key I believe.......his father, by the way, was also ISAAC.
For now and thank you all once again. I think we may be on the right track.

Hello,
I googled Jane CLOUT and A.......y kindly provided the following information:
She married Isaac WARBURTON and had 11 children, some of whom were born in "Sutton Forest" which I believe is in the same area as Berrima. The first child was born in 1866 and the last in 1884. Sadly, other than a mention of Jane CLOUT's parents no other leading/salient details available.

I doubt that Isaac WARBURTON who married Jane CLOUT is the one you are looking for.
I have sent you a link to Isaac's 1901 death certificate.

Hello Merlin,
Thank you for this and the Death Certificate link in your PM.
I had originally discounted the 58 year old Isaac WARBURTON who died in 1901 as being too young......this marriage to Jane CLOUT appeared to be a different person but now, of course, the Death Certificate probably makes all this thread's references to Isaac WARBURTON of Berrima ineligible. Hey Ho!!! The joys of genealogy ;D
