Title: Help please
Post by: t_creaney on Saturday 23 July 05 19:10 BST (UK)
I would be really grateful if one of you kind people could make some improvements to this picture. It dates from about 1910 but the copy I got to scan looks like a photo of the original taken many years ago, hence the poor quality.

Thanks.

Hi Prue,You have done a great job on removing the stains. You might want to try running a noise and dust filter to clean it up a bit more. Try Neat Image. You can download the demo here http://www.neatimage.com/

Hi deadants,
Thanks for the tip, I downloaded the demo and although I'm not totally confident with it, I thought I'd post my efforts!

Not bad, It's just a matter of trial and error.  These filters can sometimes ruin a photo,  so make sure you can undo the the changes.

Just downloaded that neat image software, It looks very good, not used it on this picture but will do so on next.
