I have been trying for some time to find details of my GG Grandfather who lived in Cork. He was a Captain in the Army and his name was Henry Baldwin. I have now found him in Griffiths Valuation living in Sunday's Well in 1851. I have been told that many officers who where posted at the local Barracks lived in Sundays well. Does anyone know which regiment was posted during 1840-1870 as this will help me find his service records.
Thanks :D

As to your original question, numerous regiments had postings to Cork during the period you mention, far too many to form a useful basis for further search.
