hello everyone, could anyone help me get past my 7 times great grandad, he was born 1520 wantage, berkshire. his name is john keepe. i am trying to find who his father is but cannot get past john. hope some one can help me. many thanks jackie keep

Hi jaccquelinekeep,

I'm not sure how you were able to get back as far as 1520, as the transcripts for Wantage
indicate records starting in 1538. The earliest John keepe that I have found was bapt. 24-11-1577 the s/o John & ??.
Is that a correct year?

I presume you think this is the John who was born c 1720?

St Peter and St Paul, Wantage
IHONE Kepe (F), 6 Jan 1541, Twin JANE same day
WILLIAM Keepe, 20 March 1543
ALICE Keepe, 31 May 1548
ANNIS Keepe, 16 Sept 1550
Parents IOHN and ALICE, yes spelt Iohn
* Plus a possible PETER Keepe 1558, Father only Iohn
