Title: Allen/Pinkard marriage, Tiffield Nth 1861
Post by: smannut on Tuesday 02 August 16 01:23 BST (UK)
Hi,

I am looking for the marriage of William Allen and Sarah Elizabeth Pinkard (or Pinckard) in Tiffield, Northampton.  Sarah was in Tiffield in the 1841 through 1861 censuses.  The marriage is Jun 1861 in Civil Registration.

Thanks,
Steve

If the marriage took place in an Anglican church, you may find the marriage in a Parish Register.

Otherwise you will almost certainly need the Marriage Certificate ::)
Cost will be £9.35 from the GRO

The details you will need are:
Marriages, June qtr 1861
Towcester Registration District     volume 3b, page 45

Pinckard, Sarah Elizabeth
Allen, William

Afraid they don't seem to be in the Parish Registers.  :(

There's another couple listed under the same reference on FreeBMD (John Scott and Mary Bowden), and it looks like Mary Bowden was a Baptist, so I'm afraid you are going to have to bite the bullet and buy that certificate, as KGarrad said!
