Thank you to everyone who worked so hard on the photo of my Grandmother.
I have this photo, and looking at it closely the dress on the baby looks the same as the one of the my grandmother as a baby.
I am wondering if this photo was taken at the same time, maybe her christening? Although I have found no dates for a christening or baptism.
The gentleman is her father, Rev. William Meek, I think she is sitting on the lap of her mother, Emily Baskerville, and the other lady is unknown.
Thank you

Another lovely photo.
It looks very much like the same dress on the baby so I would say it was taken on the same day, and what better time to have a photo taken than after a christening.
What ever, the three ladies look so much alike about the eyes surely they have got to be related. Is the second lady a young aunt or a big sister?

I don't think Emily Baskerville had a younger sister but William Meek did have three younger sisters. Emily and William were married seven years before Lucy was born. I have found no evidence of any other children.

After seven years of waiting no wonder he looks so proud. He has a lovely baby there.

Cleaned it up a bit...

Census information agrees only one child, youngest sister would have been 19/20 when this was taken.

Thank you Handypandy and Nicksmum so much. The details Have really come up on their faces. I think you are right, must be a younger sister of William. Lucy looks like a 'doll' sitting up there!

I can't resist a posh frock, but in this case it was the tablecloth that got me going.
Hope I've done the picture justice.

Thank you Paula Too,
I must admit I hadn't even noticed the table before!
You are all so clever....
