In Harold House, Waltham Cross. In 1933 resident was one J. J. Cornelius de Haan. He’s also recorded there in 1937, and a J. de Haan (either him or his son, perhaps) is recorded there in 1970. The company (De Haan) was dissolved in 1971 this was probably due to the death of J. de Haan. Could anyone with info on this family let me know.
Many thanks
Paul

Hi look at the 1911 census for Cornelius de Haan b 1896, and in answer to your question 1 girl, 1 boy and no, born in Marylebone.
The son is possibly still alive and married, and lives in Ware, Hertfordshire.

:) So Paul, has the fact that neither of the children were born in Harold House not answered your question, or left you confused?
What is your interest in either this family or in fact Harold House a house owned for many years and possibly built by William Gardener b c 1831 Waltham Abbey occ Master Builder employing 25 men & 1 boy.
I had passed by this house many times on my visits to the market in Waltham Cross until I moved, are you also local?!
