Title: Evans & Francis family of Cwmlline Hamlet, Cemmaes.
Post by: kjmck on Friday 22 July 16 12:47 BST (UK)
Hi there

I'm casting the net wide and writing this post in the hope that some relatives will come across it.

I am looking for any descendants of David Evans (born c.1844 in Trefeglwys) & Elizabeth Francis (born 15.06.1851 in Cwmlline) Daughter of Evan Francis & Anne Richards. Their daughter Hannah Catherine Evans was my Great-Grandmother. Other children of David & Elizabeth include - Anne, Mary,  Elizabeth, Sarah, Susannah, Evan, Ellen, & Myfanwy. David also has three children from a previous marriage - Jane, Margaret, & David.

So yes! If any of this rings a bell with anyone, please send me a message :) Am struggling to find relatives. Many thanks :)

Keelan

In my family tree:
Susannah Evans married Jenkin Williams (30 May 1883) Residence: Tynewydd, Wales.  Married at Hebron Baptist Church, witnessed by Hannah Anthony and David Williams. Susannah & Jenkin had 2 sons, Daniel and Isaac.  Susannah immigrated to Scranton, PA in 1888.

Jenkin died at Dinas Steam Colliery on 5 Jan 1887 (age 24).

Susannah's father: David Evans:  Jenkin's father: Daniel Williams

Don't know if this is your family as well.  Jenkin was my g-g grandfather.  Be grateful, if you let me know if it is your family as well.

your Susannah was born in Breconshire, not Montgomeryshire. Have another look at this post

Also, I've added to that post with more on Jenkin & Daniel's family.
