Hi everyone!
Could anyone help me locate where the grave "13-93" is in the Hedon Road Cemtery please?
I haven't found a way of finding where abouts the graves are if you only have a plot number.
Thank you very much,
Tony.

Have you contacted the local council to ask if a plan of the cemetery is available?

Hi gogogadgetlegs!
Thank you very much for your help! That means that there is unfortunately no headstone which is a shame. I know for definite that they were buried there.
Where abouts would the plot be? Could you take a picture of the map inside your book please?
Thanks,
Tony.

Hi, Sadly it does not show any places for unmarked graves, this is why i looked for the actual Monumental Inscroption, which i could then send you a rough idea where the fgrave would be situated.

Okay can't you do it from the plot and grave number?

Hi Tony,
The Hull History Centre has, on microfilm, the burial registers of Hedon Road Cemetery. From there you will be able to find the location of the grave. The centre also has copies of the maps of plots on the microfilms.
Also, contact the Breavements Service of the council. My great grandparents are buried in an unmarked grave n the same cemetery, I contacted the service and the warden of the cemetery met me and showed me where the grave is.
Hope this helps
Ian

No unfortunatly, East Riding Family History society who printed the books only gave inscriptions from actual gavestones.

As you live in Hull Anthony...I think Ian's advice is the best way forward.

Hi everyone!
Not a problem, yes I live in Hedon anyway so it will be easy to meet with someone there! I'll let you know if I get sorted.
Thanks for your help!

Hi there!
We know two people who are interred at Hedon Road, and just wondered if anyone has come across their graves at all? The details we have are as follows :-
Florence Edith Cook, b 12 Dec 1866, d 5 Dec 1949, buried on 10 Dec 1949
Henry James Cook, b 18 Oct 1869, d 25 Dec 1950, buried on 30 Dec 1950
Gogogadgetlegs, I don't know if you are able to help with what you have in your monumental inscriptions at all?
Many thanks in advance to you all!

Hi
That's great.
Hope you can track down that grave at Hedon Road. Or that someone can help further.

Have a look at the facebook group Cemeteries, Graveyards and Burial Grounds of Hull. The group are very friendly and helpful

I am revisiting my family tree research. I have found notes I have made regarding my great grandmother - Hannah Frow (1852 - 2/11/1900)
I cannot find them online anywhere - so not sure how I obtained them.
My notes are as follows:-
Register Book of Burials in the Borough Cemetery, Hedon Road.
Hannah Frow (26718)
Compartment 39. Grave 22. Date death 2nd. Date buried 4th.
Age 48. Profession wife of Frederick Frow, hawker. Residence 11 New George Street.
Cause of death Cancer
I am local to Hull and would love to visit the grave. There are two cemeteries on Hedon Road, to my knowledge. I did search on 'Find a grave' but it appears only one shows up, and my great grandmother wasn't found.
With a compartment and grave number what would be the best way to find out where she is buried
Thanks

Hannah's burial at Hedon Road, the deails of which you have, is on FamilySearch. Need to be registered and logged in to see it.
It's a rather faded image

One other burial, which is Annie Maria Frow, on 28 August 1887.
Age 32, wife of Frederick Frow, Fruiterer. Died of Consumption.

Someone may come up with a more modern one, but they also have a cemetery section plan on there!
Which is here. It is repeated on the preceding and following images, this could be the best of the three. You will need to download it and turn it the right way round.

Thank you so much for your help, the information was very interesting.
I have contacted the council regarding visiting the grave, although I am not sure there will be anything to see.
On the Grave register, on some of the plots, it says 'full'. Would these likely be communal or pauper graves?
Thanks again
-
Hi
The grave isn't marked as public on the graves register. Nor does it say perpetuity. So I guess Frederick purchased it for a set number of years. Possibly for just two burials (some other full ones seem to have three burials)
What might have happened with the grave since those registers closed, I don't know. Hopefully nothing!
Good luck with the council, and do let us know if you get to see the grave.
