May I ask where you got his age at Burial from?
Death Cert? or Parish Record?
FreeREG has him Buried 12 Nov 1845 age 87.
Trish :)

Hi Trish
Would you believe I have William's burial image from the PR's and I didn't even pick up on the different ages ::)
I got that age from Headstone pic', Eleanor's details are correct.....weird
will have another look at the PR's for a birth
Thank god one of us is paying attention ;D
-
I tried to look at the Headstone pic on a Tree but it wouldnt load for me.
Something is awry as William is age 60 on 1841 Census.
-
yea he is kind of all over the shop with his DOB lol
nothing in the PR's but there are some faded entries, so could be one of them

Thanks for that :)
Going with born c 1777 have you considered this one?
Wm PARKER Baptised 3 March 1777, St John the Baptist, Morton by Bourne
Parents JOHN/JOYCE
Sibling;
JNO Parker Baptised 14 June 1778, St Mary, Pinchbeck to JNO/JOYCE
(FreeREG)
F/S has a Marriage 8 July 1776 Morton (Near Bourne) John PARKER/Joice MIDDLETON
FreeREG has her as JANE Middleton
So transcription errors do occur

I will consider anything at the moment Trish :-\
that one does look promising as William named his eldest daughter Joyce, is Morton by Bourne nearby to Woolsthorpe?
-

im on OZ too...first time i've done any reasearch in Lincolnshire and feeling a little lost
-
Having looked at the map of Lincolnshire, Morton is about three miles north of Bourne and Woolsthorpe is about 10 miles to the west of Morton.
-
If you look at the Lincstothepast website, and enter Morton par marriages in the top linee.
Then scroll down until you find Morton by Bourne 1767-1812 Marriages on the bottom of page 2.
Open the programme and go to page 13 entry 51 , you will find the original entry of the marriage

Thanks for that Itterbysearch
will start digging around and see if the magic word "Blacksmith" pops up somewhere in the family :)
