Hi Tony, Hi Trevor,
Just a thought:
In the RootsChat Database for Speicial Interest Groups (DBSIG) we have a section for
Watermen (Canal and Riverboat people).
http://surname.rootschat.com/lexicon/dbsig/index.php
No RUGGs there at the moment, but why not add your entries for future searchers :)

Bob

Hi Bob
I looked in the special interest so as to register the name Rugg but it states that you have to have
made two post.
Also is there any section for old French water Gipsies I have ancestors in France with the name of Margrie

Hi Tony,
You have 4 posts now, so that shouldn't be a problem.
Although, .... it sounds familiar. Maybe the first time you tried you had less then 3 posts and this information has now "stuck".
Have you tried deleting your cookies, then logging in new to RootsChat ?
I would enter your water gypsies simply as "watermen", and then add "water gypsies" in the comments.
regards,
Bob
