Title: 20th cent records in Portugal
Post by: snazzyrose on Sunday 10 July 16 15:06 BST (UK)
Hi everyone,

Can anyone shed any light on how to access 20th century records (primarily birth records but others may help) for Portuguese citizens?

Thanks,
Rose

Some of the (unindexed) image sets on familysearch go into the 20th century:

It depends when exactly - with more recent records there might be limitations on who is allowed to obtain copies.

In Portugal, you can only have access to info dating before 1910/11 after that date, due to confidential purposes, you can only access proving direct relationship or family authorisation.
