Hi
I wonder if anyone is visiting the records office at some point or has access to any records. I'm looking for a birth/baptism for Isabella Cullope born circa 1798 in Yelling, Hunts. I'm hoping to find out who her parents are.
She married John Moore in 1819 in Melchbourne, Beds
Any help will be gratefully received.
TIA

Baptisms for Yelling are on familysearch but not with any as Cullope.
However, I did find:
Isabella Caleb bp.30/9/1798 Yelling, Huntingdon, dau. of William and Elizabeth.
plus 4 siblings as Caleb - Mary 1794, John 1795, William and Thomas 1804
Then the name Caleb becomes Cullip and 3 further children - Elizabeth 1807, James 1809 and Sarah 1813.
William Cullip bc.1770 bur.21/4/1857 Yelling
Elizabeth Cullip bc.1774 bur.15/7/1845 Yelling
Sounds like the right family to me. 1841 Census at Yelling shows William Cullip 70 Ag.Lab. not born in county, Elizabeth Cullip 65 and James Cullip 20 Ag.Lab.
William Caleb married Elizabeth Peters 17/12/1792 Yelling.

Bearing in mind that 1841 census states William Cullip was not born in Huntingdonshire I wonder if this could be his baptism nearby:
William Cullip bp.30/7/1769 Croxton, Cambridge, son of John and Sarah.

The records are also on FreeReg, which sometimes has more detail.

That's brilliant. I'd seen some variations but didn't want to jump to conclusions

I agree with Annette. In my tree I have a James Cullip who lived in Yelling, baptised 12 Dec 1790 in Croxton, Cambs, also son of John and Sarah. I think James was the youngest brother of William. Need to have a closer look. James Cullip's son John b 1827 married into my Hedge family from adjoining Toseland, Hunts.
