Hi, I am trying to trace a Sarah Jane Gallagher born in 1891 to parents Patrick Gallagher (B1965 Houston Renfrewshire-D1899 Glasgow, Scotland) and Mary King (B1867 Glasgow-D1931 Aberdeen).
1901 Census they are in Glasgow, although her mother passes away in Aberdeen.
I cannot see any death records or marriage records on Ancestry or Scotlandspeople. In Ancestry there is a document which looks a possiblity of her going to the USA. Infact there are a few but the birth year does not tie in.
Any information you can pass on will be greatfully received.

Have you tried (Surnames that begin with) option & Galla as it may be Gallacher?
Have you tried with (Forenames that begin with) option & Sara also leave middle name out as it will bring up Sarah too & all middle names automatically.
Also extend years by a few either side.

EDIT........Sorry, been reading it wrong :-[
With the above info. (All Records) 1898 - 1901 there are 23 death matches on the index for the same amount as 1 name in 1 area.
I did not enter mother's maiden name of King (best to leave blank).

Hi
Have you seen her mother's death certificate? If so was Sarah Jane the informant?
There are several marriages of a Sarah Jane or Sarah J Gallagher in England on FreeBMD, plus if she stopped using her middle name/initial there are many more.

It looks like Sarah married in 1916 - https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:KBZT-CCJ
And died in 1920 of tuberculosis - https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:23TL-PMB

I can't find Sarah, but I think her husband may have been in the same sanitarium where she died at the time of the 1920 census - https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MX1D-3NL
Her husband's birth - https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:FXNW-CNP
And his WWI draft registration card while they were married - https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:KZNJ-1XV

Thank you. That's wonderfull information. I guess that's the end of that family line.
Thank you.

Sadly, it looks like they had a 4 month old daughter who died of tuberculosis also - https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:KB86-T2R
Perhaps Patricia was named after Sarah's father.

Thank you.
It really gives you an idea of the conditions these people lived in. Makes you thankful for what you have today.
