Where did the family attend church? possibly buried there or Parish (Church of Ireland ground) although Ballymoney Cemetery is also likely. Church of Ireland will have a burial register, Cemetery keeps records (gatehouse is at entrance to cemetery) but if Presbyterian or other religion there are unlikely to be burial records.

keeping Aghadoweys reply in mind the whole time, heres my effort
Drumahiskey in the civil parish of Ballymoney, Drumahiskey local registrar is Ballymoney The electoral district is Enagh, and its in the barony of Upper dunluce.
I tried searching for Robert Johnston Robinson b 1916, d 1917. as any of the following:-birth ie registrar, baptism ie a church record, a death registrar, and a burial notice. obituary, or burial record or tombstone.
Robert is not listed in Births/ Death/Burial records in www.ancestryireland.com/
Robert is not listed in Births/ Death/Burial records in www.emeraldancestors.com/
Robert is not listed in Births/ Death/Burial records in https://familysearch.org/search
Births unexamined
There are a few record church records available https://www.nidirect.gov.uk/sites/default/files/publications/Guide_to_church_records.pdf
available at PRONI in microfilm etc sometimes more at the church.

note the existing St Patrick’s Church of Ireland has a website on this link you will find the rector and his email listed see http://www.stpatricksballymoney.com/page7.html
if you cant find the baptism Roberts parents should be identifiable in the 1911 census however that is very difficult. The reason is in 1901 there are 16 males, in 1911 males just 5, of these only one is not old. the most likely Robinson is a boarder, one Francis Robinson ,Church of Ireland aged 16 ie b~ 18 living with Margory Darens at 1 in Ballybrakes, Urban (Ballymoney, Antrim) note the existing St Patrick’s Church of Ireland Ballymoney has a website link you will find the rector and his email listed see http://www.stpatricksballymoney.com/page7.html
Howeverthere are some 16 Robinson males in 1901 census who leave by 1911 so i may be ignoring the 1901 census too much if one of the 1901 Robinson came back to marry!
If you already know the first name of his father or mother do search the census yourself. heres the background to that Robinson in Ballybrake
1901 census 1 in Ballybrakes, Urban (Ballymoney, Antrim)
in case they continue to be of interest
Darcus Charles 55 b Co Antrim Church of Ireland Farmer m Margaret XXXXXX 46 b Mayflax, Scotland Church of Ireland

I'm a bit confused by the last few replies but there is certainly a birth registration for a Robert Robinson 9 April 1916 Ballymoney district (Ballymoney sub-district)- mother's maiden name Romain.
Parents Samuel George Robinson & Alphonsine Eugenie Romain married 4 July 1903 Ballymoney dist.
Other children-
Alfred George 29 May 1904
Samuel Charles 22 Aug.1905
Netta Elizabeth 30 Mar.1909
William John 10 Mar.1911
Jack 26 Dec.1913
The family are shown as Church of Ireland in 1911- note Samuel born in England so any of the Robinson details posted are unlikely to be connected.
www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Antrim/Enagh/Greenville/126244
Therefore, the first 2 places to check for are Ballymoney Church of Ireland and Ballymoney Cemetery.

Aghadowey, its no wonder you are a Rootschat Honorary. I feel used and stupid. I misjudged the request. No wonder you politely say confused! I learn much from your last paragraph ‘Or is this actually you’ I shall continue trying my way of solving family queries, but read the query cautiously. Grace01 you knew so much more than your simple request that could have saved my time, so please on this occasion do not thank me in any way for trying. Good bye

No harm done- I just have the advantage of being in the area ;)
Unfortunately the poster didn't respond to my question and suggestions a few days ago although they have been online since. Certainly full details at the start would have made this much easier :-\
There's no sign of the Robinsons in 1909-1920 Valuation Revision Books so they either didn't live there, didn't stay long or were living with someone else there 1916/1917.

Many thanks will try the Ballymoney Church of Ireland and Ballymoney Cemetery for records
