Title: Clerks of the Peace

Hi,
    I am studying the early days of the L&SWR.

In a railway bill I found online, it says that maps and plans were lodged with the Clerk of the Peace in the county of Southampton.

Where are these now?

Quite a lot of LSWR records at Hampshire Archives in Winchester.

There's an online catalogue to search to see if it's what you're looking for
