Hello I have a Isabella Veitch (Castleton parish Scotland) who married a William Scott (Burnmouth Scotland schoolmaster).
Isabella was daughter of Margaret Murray and Thomas or James Veitch.
Any help appreciated

My connection is William Scott (Burnmouth) also married a Janet Scott-maiden name Scott

Your post on this thread says Isabella Veitch born 1790 Castleton - I actually thought Veitch Castleton was a double -barrelled name !

So is this Castleton in Derbyshire and Burnmouth  in Scotland ? It helps to give details of what you know and be specific about what you want to find out.


Edit : Isabella Veitch married William Scott 8 Apr 1790 Hawick , Roxburghshire  - so not born in 1790 after all.
