Can anyone help me and do a search for actual record.
Seeking birth record of George Whitelocke Lloyd date of birth 30th May 1830 either in London or at Cowesby Hall, Yorkshire.
-
I know you are after the birth/baptism details but is this his marriage which gives father as William Lloyd :-\
George Whitelocke Lloyd
Spouse Anne Margaret Butter
07 February 1861
Place -Kilclooney, Gal, Ire
Father William Lloyd
Spouse's Father Somerset Richard Butter

:) yip just needing his birth for the record
-
There is this for George 30 May 1830 died:14 May 1910 from "the Cambridge University Alumni, 1261-1900"
"TRINITY, June 12, 1851. S. of William [and Mary, dau. of George Whitelocke, of Fortoiseau, France]. B. [May 30, 1830], in London.
"Assumed by Royal licence the additional name of Whitelocke, 1880." So his baptism may be just in the name of George Lloyd.

according to the duplicate topic, he's not been spotted in Yorkshire, neither is he obviously showing up in London and Westminster

Marriage and birth of eldest son points to the family living in Bedford Place London between at least 1826-1828. And 1 Park sq by 1849.
My hunch is that he was born London but can't find a baptism yet

Hello
Not quite what you wanted, but British Library Newspaper Archives, Marriages, for 'Whitelock' and 'Lloyd':-
Yorkshire Gazette 29th April 1826
Marriages
"On Thursday, the 13th inst., William Horton Lloyd, Esq., of Bedford Place, to Mary, youngest daughter of George Whitelocke, Esq., of Seymour Place, Portman Square, London."
Leeds Mercury 29th April 1826
"Last week, Wm. Horton Lloyd, Esq. of Bedford-place, London, only son of the late Gamaliel Lloyd, Esq. formerly of this town, to Mary, youngest daughter of George Whitelock, Esq. of Seymour-place, Portman-square."
(Sic. Whitelocke spelt Whitelock in original newspaper text)
The Scots Magazine 1st May 1826
"At the house of Leonard Horner, Esq. by the Rev. Sir Henry Moncrieff Wellwood, Bart., William Horton Lloyd, Esq. of Bedford Place, London, to Mary, youngest daughter of George Whitelocke, Esq. of Seymour Place, Portman Square."

This is my family and I have lots of details about George Walter Edward Lloyd, RN, of Cowesby Hall. He was cousin to the Whitelocke Lloyds. His grandfather, George Lloyd FRS of Manchester, had three sons. One of whom, Colonel Thomas Lloyd, had two children, George and Marian. George lived at Cowesby Hall. Another son, Gamaliel, was Lord Mayor of Leeds, and had a son William Lloyd, also known as William Horner Lloyd. William married into the Whitelockes, and became Whitlelocke Lloyd, later of Strancally Castle. I can put you in touch with a descendant of the Whitelocke Lloyds who has some detail of that side of the family.
