Title: newspaper coverage of trials in Kildare
Post by: audrey69 on Friday 20 May 16 09:39 BST (UK)
Does anyone know which newspaper would have reported trials around 1851 in Kildare and where they might be available online?  I am trying to research a convict who was tried at this time.

A possible. Leinster Express from 1831 found here.

If the trial was 'big' enough it might be in some of the national papers.

Her name was Mary Kelly.  She was tried in Kildare on 25 June, 1851 for stealing a cow along with 2 other women, Catherine Heally and Margaret Mathews.

There's a mention of them here, about halfway down the page.

Thank you so much 'lost and found'.  I really thought I'd checked the available papers but somehow I missed it.  What was lost really is now found!!
Have a great day  :)
