I am trying to find out a bit more about Thomas Goodall.
He was born approx 1792 in Wexford - father Charles. I cannot find a marriage for him but certainly in 1816 he and his wife, Mary (formerly Bishop, m/s Darrippe) have a daughter in Carlow. By the early 1820s he has moved to Wisbech with his wife, daughter and her four children from her previous marriage. I have got a pretty good idea of his life after he moved here the bit I am struggling with is his birth and his marriage.
I would happily pay a subscription to join a paid site for Irish ancestry (I already have FindMyPast and Anc**try) but I dont know which one would be best.
Any suggestions, please?

Hi,
The list below is from the Tithe records of Ireland.
The Parish is where to look. BUT, I don't know if there will be any records. (It's pot Luck!)
If they are Catholic then this is where to look. As I say it's pot Luck if you get the info with it being early. I have checked the sites I use and can't find anything.
The surname of Mary Darrippe is not listed anywhere.

Look for Wexford, Ardcavan I looked where it is, It is on the coast, you will see Castlebridge, these are the records, what your eyes!
Then go to Carlow, that will be a problem as you won't know the Parish where the daughter was from. You just have to keep digging.
I hope this is a help,
Maggsie

The genealogy of the Goodall's of Wexford has been published in detail in the IGRS journal by Sir David Goodall, who passed away in July this year. See recent thread in the Wexford forum about Sir David. There were both Catholic and Protestant branches.
