Have found a baptism for Joseph Wheat on 12 June 1803 at Saint Mary, Nottingham.
Is some kind person able to check the register to see if there is any mention of Thringstone in Leicestershire. I am in Australia trying to find the birth of Joseph Wheat who was married in Nottingham and appears in a number of Census' as living in Nottingham but giving his place of birth as Thringstone Leicester. On the Census records it gives his year of birth in Thringstone as various years between 1801 and 1806. The 1803 birth in Nottingham is the only Joseph Wheat I have been able to find anywhere in that period.

Jomot,
On checking this information out it appears as the Joseph (3) of Richard and Mary may be my man and not the Joseph born in Nottingham in 1803. 3 years of age in 1809 would make his birth 1806 which is the most common date on Census information. I have been unable to find this birth in 1806 anywhere. Is Thringstone close to Ashby de la Zouch? Are there any records for Thringstone that I have been unable to access through Free searches?
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Sharpray
I'm not local to Leicestershire but Thringstone is about 5 miles from Ashby de la Zouch.
I don't have any records for Thringstone and according to GENUKI the parish register dates from 1862 onwards. Baptisms prior to that I think would have been at Whitwick.
