Would anyone please be able to help deciphering the entry dated 1727 for the parents in this Austrian Catholic baptism register.
The register comes from Niederrussbach just northwest of Vienna.
Thanks
Richard

It might be worth adding "Austrian" and perhaps the date, to the subject heading in the hope that you might attract someone wo can help you.
Good luck. :)

Simon 'K' is all I can see.. but maybe its a detached 'R'-- good luck

Possibly Koning (with an umlaut over the letter o)?

The K surname is split over two lines and is something like Kurn-berger. As this entry is mainly in German rather than Latin, you may want to post it on the Europe board, where there are some excellent German speakers.

Dear All,
I'm now pretty sure that this is Körnberger ... not what I had hoped for ... but at least mystery solved.
Thanks for your help
