Title: Help with little Gladys
Post by: eevee on Sunday 24 April 16 07:13 BST (UK)
I think after a long search I have found a record of my grandma sister. This little soul was called Gladys Webb, father William mother Agnes. Born 1907 died March 1908 in Lye.
This area is close to where I know the family were at times.  I am looking to find the birth so I can order the  certificate but as the family moved about a lot have not found the birth. I know she didn't have a long life.
Any help appreciated

The parish of Lye falls within the Stourbridge Registration District, so this looks to be her:

Births, March qtr 1907
Stourbridge Registration District     vol 6c, page 188

Webb, Gladys

Deaths, March qtr 1908
Stourbridge Registration District     vol 6c, page 103

Webb, Gladys     Age 1

That's so sad.
There's a burial for Gladys at Lye and Wollescote Cemetery.
Gladys Webb 8.3.1908 section grave 4B.
She’s the only one in the grave.
So if you visit you’ll know where to find her.

Thank you.  Not sure when we will be next in England, but it's good to know the place as she was just a distant memory for my late grandma.
