Title: Looking for David Anderson b 7 Jan 1816 Poplar, Middlesex
Post by: Rutha1636 on Saturday 16 April 16 07:05 BST (UK)
I am trying to find information on David Anderson above, his Wife Sarah Stephenson (b 1826) and their 2 sons Alexander b 1847 and William b 1851.
I can find the family in Bromley, Middlesex in 1851 census, but cannot find them after that.
David's brother's William Alexander and Alexander Anderson had both moved to Australia, as did a sister Matilda.  But family in Aus do not know of David.

Can anyone help?
Regards Rutyh

There's a family tree with a similar name to yours that shows David died in 1858.

Possibly Sarah remarried and she and the children are under a different surname.

After posting this yesterday, I now believe that David may have died in 1858 - and that may have been my tree that you saw.  I had a look at a letter written in 1858 which hinted at payment of David's burial expenses and putting funds in keeping for David's sons when they become of age.

I will have a look for a second marriage.

Thanks for your help.
