Hello looking for help researching Thomas eld and William Wilkinson shipowners of Whitburn. William lived at Whitburn House for some 30 yearsuntil his death in 1802. Also info about Isabella Robinson who he married after two children out of 'wedlock'.

Age 65 (birth c 1737)
Notes; Died Aug 18th. Gentleman, a widower
ISABELLA Wilkinson was buried 29 Jul 1798 same Church
Age 39 (Birth c 1759)
Notes; Died July 26th. Wife of William WILKINSON, Gent
The Marriage was 1 May 1782 St Mary, Bachelor/Spinster
Witnesses Joseph/Mary Lee

Thanks for the reply. Yes I have the basic info and hoping to get to the info on William's father Thomas elder. All I know is his death and will but not about his birth, marriage etc. Thank you.

Thank you Trish this is worth looking into in detail. The Crawfords were a weathy family from Seaton Delaval with some members coming to South Shields. One problem I can see is that most of the Wilkinson family have christian names which flow through, but no Susannah or similar. No help in local newspaper searches either. Thanks.
