Dear All,
I am looking for as much information as possible about all or any of William Campbell, his spouse Margaret Campbell and their daughters Margaret (aged 4) and Rebbecca (aged 11 months). I have some uncorroborated anecdotal evidence that Margaret junior may have died aged 4 of consumption (TB?) and may be buried somewhere in New York.
The family, having left Ireland for the United States, then migrated to Scotland but, strangely, I have been told Rebecca Campbell stayed in New York.
I have attached a link to a copy of the 1860 Cenus which I found on FamilySearch.org. The family are listed from line 14.

Best wishes and "Thank you."

HI
Welcome to RootsChat
Census shows that the 2 girls (Margaret and Rebecca) were born in New York ??? Ancestry tree shows the next sibling Thomas born 28 December 1862 Donegal and the remainder of the children also born in Donegal - is this the same family ???

Strange as it may seem, Sandra, it is the same family.

Really ::) Always best to give all the information you have available in the original post, it seems the family do not appear to have stayed in New York. For deaths in Brooklyn between 1860 and 1862 - probably have to search substitute records (Church/Cemetery/Newspapers etc)to locate a death record for Margaret.
Happy Hunting.
