Hi All,
If anyone has access to the parish registers for Ashburton I would be very grateful for an actual marriage date please. Details:
Bride: Margaret Edith Bonham, previously Griffith
Groom - Deryck James Norman Bazalgette.
I wanted to avoid the high cost and long lead-time of a certificate if possible, as I am in Canada.
Many thanks,
Charles

Thanks but I found that index information too so I was hoping that the parish register would show the actual date.

To lookup a parish record - you have to know which church the marriage took place in
There is also the possibility at that time that it was a civil ceremony in which case it can't be looked up
-
If you order via the GRO - copies cost £9.25 GBP irrespective of country and includes postage

Thanks very much for that information. I think actually you are right and that it was in all probability a civil ceremony.
