Title: Daniel Hillman d1832 Bilston in Staffordshire

At a deadend with tracing parents of Daniel Hillman.
Daniel married a Jane Hughes (1803 - 1873)  in Oct 1820 in Sedgley, Staffordshire. I have their offspring details. Very likely he came from Dudley.

Any help would be appreciated.

Daniel was 28 when he died in January 1832 so birthyear approx 1804

That would mean he was only around 16yrs old when he married and Jane was about 17yrs

Yes indeed. Very young to be getting married.

I have a fairly massive database of Hillman's, particularly covering the Midland counties and have visited the various archives at Stafford, Dudley, Wolverhampton, Worcester etc but can't pin down where Daniel was born or who his parents were. I can't remember whether I looked up the actual marriage record to see if it gave any further information re his parentage.

I'm now living in Thailand so accessing physical records is not possible!

At that age he would have needed parental permission to marry as a minor - as would Jane
