I don't even know which one is my grandmother, it was and still is the only photo I've ever seen of her. As you can see, there was a tear in the original and I attempted to fix it but succeeeded in mucking up the gentleman standing on the left. Any chance of gently repairing this?
Thanks!! Oh, it's the Fennelly Family of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. I think my 'repair' also included the left eye of the little girl in the white dress (on the right side as we look at it.)

Slight improvement?, regards, John.

How about a post of the original with tear, (and a better quality scan) might make it easier.

Here is my 5p worth of fixing ;) .. Did not touch the main part of photo just a bit of back light and sharpening.. and worked on the two faces.
Cheers

I have no claim to the full restoration of this photo ~ I just mellowed out some darker parts on the mans jacket at the back and young girls hair ~ the real claim goes to whoever placed the photo up prior to me . . .
"But" hey thanks . . . Twaz me first try . . . : )

Mine was the one before you - - and though I don't mind, it would be nice/courteous if you asked first! ;) ;) I did think it looked the same/very similar. :-\
It is generally NOT DONE to use others restorations without asking. ::) :) Thanks for the late recognition.
Good on you for having a try.
