Any help please.
A distant relative Marion Annie Weedon nee Stripling, was born in 1877, West Derby, Liverpool.
She married a Harry Weedon in 1911.
She died in 1961 aged 84.
I would like to know if she had an obituary in any local paper where she lived ???
Also who was Harry Weedon and where was he born. ???
This has been a family mystery for a long time.

According to the 1911 census he was born about 1869 Ipswich, Suffolk.
He very likely died in Liverpool in 1947.

I'm having trouble finding Marion in the 1939 register. I've found a Harry about the right age in Liverpool, but there's no Marion in the same household.
(I hope this isn't breaking copywright rules - I only used the free search)

does this tally with the 1961 death - checking...can't find a death in 1961 for a Marion Weedon ???

added - that baptism has Marian with an a ....checking again....OK ....Her death is as MARIAN A WEEDON in Prescot ....interesting ....maybe we can ask our Prescot expert for any info on Marian Annie Weedon in Prescot ...I will contact Stephen Nulty - he is our Prescot expert.....apologies for putting Marion ...no wonder I couldn't find her ...

You won't find a date of birth for a death pre-1969, but it might help to find her in 1939....

Rosie - that is incredible ...those houses were built around 1960-61 in Mackets Lane and my friend name Lovatt moved to number 100 Mackets Lane around that time .....I wonder if I ever seen Marian ??...unlikely but a slight possibility ...I can only think she was living with family because those houses were Corporation houses and I can't see the Corporation giving a 3 bedroomed house to an old lady in her 80's ??...going to check something

looking at that photo - I think the second from right house with the aerial on the chimney is 88 and was built in 1930's ...it is not one of the new ones built around 1960 ....my mistake ...you can see where the new ones start ...

only 4 miles from Speke and Garston ...I know Weedon family in Speke and Garston ...these areas are very well known to me - within 3-4 miles of my house ....

31 & 33 Eastbourne Street. Same address in 1938 Gore's Directory, a pastrycook (Mrs Marion Weedon).
