Hi :)
I have a John McLauchlan born 2 Oct 1873, Millport, Bute, Scotland. John came to Australia with his parents John and Hannah McLauchlan (nee Robson) and siblings in 1883.
John died on 28 May 1961 at Sangate, Brisbane and lived in Brisbane.
John got married, I don't know when, and I do not know to who. (All I have is their pic). They also had a child Hannah, which I can't find anywhere.
Is anyone able to find out who his wife was. I know they did divorce but that is all I know re the above.
Cheers and thanks!

From Queensland BDM https://www.bdm.qld.gov.au
Possible marriages
1912 C340 John Hunter McLAUCHLAN married Edith Lucy BLACK
1917 B20143 John Thomas McLAUCHLAN married Elsie THORPE
There are lots of possible marriages for a John McLACHLAN
You can download an image of John's death certificate and this should show who he was married to and details of any children. It costs $20 and can be downloaded immediately.
Somehow your post has landed on the Completed Lookups board - I will ask a moderator to move it for you :)

Thank you so very much for solving this 15 year puzzle for me. My father, being old, gave me the wrong info. and when I mentioned the funeral notice and the suburb, it all came flooding back to him.
Your kindness is much appreciated.
Cheers!

Hi,
Not quite sure what exactly was "the wrong info " from your dad in your query, but it looks like everything has settled into place for you and that is very good news.
Cheers for now.
