I am trying to find which cemetery Martha Mary Sullivan was buried. I don't know if it would have been a Catholic Cemetery or not. Maybe just the Parish Church Cem. if there was one.
She died April 25,1883 Mile End Old Town. She was living on Aldermay Rd. when she died from the death cert.
Does anyone have any ideas ? Any help would be much appreciated as I am in Canada.
Thanks
Sharon

There is a topic on the London & Middlesex board, which may help?

Should the road be Alderney Road?
-
Probably. It is hard to read from the death cert.
I will change what I have on my records.

It could be Abney park Cemetery which has a free search thingy or Tower Hamlets cemetery.

In your first post you said that you dont know if "it would have been a catholic cemetery". Do you have reason to believe that Martha was RC ? The only RC cemetery I know of in that part of London is St Patrick's, Langthorne Rd, Leytonstone, London, E11 4HL. At the time that Martha died it was in Essex. (The boundaries changed in 1965). It's a couple of years since I was there but it certainly had many, many Victorian graves. Google streetview will give you a good overview of the cemetery.
Unfortunately the cemetery does not have email and one can only phone or write to them.
The only other RC cemetery I have come across is St Mary's at Kensal Green in North London
Incidentally the Rootschat Resources page refers to the National Catholic Library at Farnborough. That closed in 2014, the last I heard the resources were moving to Durham in the north of England

Thanks Tony. I will check it out. I don't think she was Catholic, but not sure.
I checked Abbey Park, but no results. It probably was Tower Hamlets, but their records are at LMA & for them to search it will cost 80 pounds, which is about $ 150.00 Canadian, way too expensive.

Hi Sharon
I'll have a look next time I'm at LMA.
Might not be till the May Saturday though

Thank you so much Steve. Its so nice of you to offer.
I hate to take advantage of such a generous offer, but there is a George Sullivan, died Oct. 20,1913 at Enfield, & the LMA says they have the records of St. Andrews Parish Cem. microfilm # X001/080. If you have extra time I was wondering if you would be able to look this up too.,

Have you tried searching the Manor Park Cemetery records on Deceasedonline.com at all? I've relatives who died in Bethnal Green and Haggerston around the same time who were buried there, albeit they weren't catholic.

I'll give it a go :)
